This history of the Wells Hotel has been compiled in part from documentation contained in an article entitled "New Wells Hotel Opened on Tuesday", published by the Cariboo Observer of November 17, 1934, page 1.; from information written by Jennifer Iredale of Barkerville Park who quoted from a description of the hotel published in the Province newspaper of October 13, 1934; Ms Ireland then went on to describe the Wells Hotel situated on Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Wells, B.C. Contributing information was also obtained through phone call interviews with Sandy Phillips of Bowron Lake (nee Pelletier) Della Jubensky, and Judy Campbell of Wells.
